For those who may or may not know, I have suffered with ingrown toenails for many years. As far back as 6th grade, I think. They went away and have recently been coming back. Originally, it was just one. But, three more sprung up. I had been telling my mom to make me an appointment with a foot doctor, and we finally did so. They looked at my toes and told me I would need to have a procedure done to remove the sides of my nails to prevent them from growing back. Sounds weird, but it has a 96% success rate. So, we went ahead and went with it. The procedure did not take long at all, and the only painful part was the shots. But otherwise, my toes were numb and they went on with their work. My feet already feel better. I used to be in a lot of pain when I would walk, but that is no longer a problem for me. Yes, the picture looks gross, but this is what had to be done to get rid of them. I have to soak my feet twice a day and change the gauze each time. My right toe bleeds because it was the worst there, but otherwise no blood at all. I'll keep you guys updated, and I'm sorry for the picture.
